The Legend of Arachne — Weaver of Eternal Beauty
Long ago, when the world was young and full of quiet magic, there lived a mortal weaver named Arachne. Her fingers moved like whispers, weaving threads so fine and delicate that her tapestries seemed spun from moonlight and dreams. She wove secret gardens, twilight skies, and hidden forest paths—scenes so enchanting that even the gods took notice.
One day, the goddess Athena came to Arachne in disguise and warned her: "Mortal hands must show humility, for the gods alone weave the fate of all things." But Arachne only smiled and said softly, "I weave not for the gods, but for the beauty that lives in every corner of the world."
Touched by her bold spirit, Athena transformed Arachne—not as punishment, but as a gift. She became the first spider, forever free to spin her delicate lace in shadow and light, unbound by loom or thread.
Ever since I was a young girl, I’ve been fascinated by the intricate beauty of beads. Specifically the way they shimmer and the way they fit together to tell a story. I first started to make things with the help of my mother, and over the years, I’ve honed my skills, transforming tiny beads and wire into creations that reflect my love for the mysterious and the beautiful.
At Incognita Jewelry, I specialize in creating handmade spider jewelry, a blend of gothic elegance, Victorian charm, and a touch of whimsy. Each piece is crafted with care and attention to detail, using glass, lampwork, ceramic, and faceted beads. The spider’s legs, to me, are where the magic happens. I love weaving intricate designs that mirror the symmetry of nature itself.
Inspired by my love for all things fall, mythology, and all things darkly romantic, my pieces evoke a sense of otherworldly beauty. Whether it’s a necklace, pair of earrings, or a watch fob, every creation is a unique piece meant for those who embrace the mystical side of life and for those who revel in gothic fashion, steampunk style, witchy cottagecore, or the joy of dressing up in costume.
Based in St. Paul, Minnesota, I pour my heart into every piece, balancing creativity and craftsmanship. Outside of jewelry-making, you’ll often find me playing music on my guitar or flute or tending to my garden, always seeking inspiration from the natural world around me.
Thank you for visiting Incognita Jewelry. Each piece is more than just an accessory; it's a little piece of magic, crafted just for you.
